Patrizio Pinna nasce a Genova, dove vive, nel dicembre 1968. Inizia a scrivere a vent’anni, in seguito a un sogno particolare che diventerà Mitote: il suo romanzo d’esordio.
Ha pubblicato Mitote (Chinaski Edizioni, 2004), Radical choc: hipster, quanti & rock’n’roll (Arpeggio Libero Editore, 2017) e Vite Inceppate (Castelvecchi Editore, 2022).
Patrizio è vegetariano, in tutta la sua vita non ha mai mangiato una bistecca, e da più di trent'anni vive senza televisione. Adora Joyce, Tom Robbins, Douglas Adams, Frank Zappa, Tom Waits, Bjork, gli Smiths, i contemporanei americani (in particolar modo la Beat Generation), Woody Allen e i banconi dei bar dove spesso si attarda: il Dragun Pub di Camogli e i Tre Merli di corso Magenta a Genova.
Il Blues House Pub, purtroppo, ha chiuso i battenti da tempo.
Raramente esce di pomeriggio e scrive quasi esclusivamente di notte.
Ultimamente, e sempre rigorosamente di notte, ha tradotto in inglese tre dei suoi romanzi: Libro Maria, Conveniva fingersi morti e Radical Choc: hipster quanti & rock’n’roll, tutti disponibili in download gratuito.

Patrizio Pinna was born in Genoa, where he lives, in December 1968. He began writing at twenty, following a particular dream that would become Mitote: his debut novel.
He has published Mitote (Chinaski Edizioni, 2004), Radical choc: hipster, quanti & rock’n’roll (Arpeggio Libero Editore, 2017), and Vite Inceppate (Castelvecchi Editore, 2022).
Patrizio is a vegetarian, has never eaten a steak in his entire life, and has lived without television for more than thirty years. He loves Joyce, Tom Robbins, Douglas Adams, Frank Zappa, Tom Waits, Bjork, The Smiths, contemporary American writers (especially the Beat Generation), Woody Allen, and the bar counters where he often lingers: the Dragun Pub in Camogli and the Tre Merli on Corso Magenta in Genoa.
The Blues House Pub, unfortunately, closed its doors some time ago.
He rarely goes out in the afternoon and writes almost exclusively at night.
Lately, and always strictly at night, he has translated three of his novels to the best of his ability: Weed Book, It was better to play dead, and Future is a state of mind, all available for free download.
